Drawing upon this academic foundation in Spirituality and clinical training as a Chaplain, I provide seekers with a multitude of ways to engage with spiritual direction. My passion is to work with recovering evangelicals and people who identify as spiritual but not religious. From either leading a liturgical prayer, breaking down theological constructs, or offering tarot readings, the seeker will be safely guided inward to find their True-Self.
Major influences: Christian Mystics, Meister Eckhart, Richard Rohr, The Liturgists, Peter Rollins, J. Krishnamurti, Swami Abishiktananda, V. Bede Griffiths, Christian Occultism, Philosophical Alchemy, Queer Theology
"My style is very direct and relies on healthy deconstruction and guided reconstruction. Mysticism for me is the seeking, the yearning, the desire to be in union with God or the Divine: all of us can reach this. It is a deep quest inward to fully comprehend our true-selves and God, and that we are not separate from God. I’m here to be a resource and a listener for anyone that is willing to dive into the darkest depths of the soul and emerge into the radiant and beautiful divine light of the eternal I AM." -Brook Louis
An initiatory thirty minute session will be free. This will help you get to know me and vice versa. After that, sessions will $25 per hour.
I’m an open and affirming director. I accept you as you are, however you are, and wherever you are. If you live in or near the southeast (Knoxville, TN or Atlanta, GA), I’m willing to meet with you in person in a public space. Brook Louis will also have sessions over the phone, Skype, Google Hangout, or FaceTime. I am here to work with you and help you on your spiritual journey.
“To receive spiritual direction is to recognize that God does not solve our problems or answer all our questions, but leads us closer to the mystery of our existence were all questions cease.”
